IT ANALYST

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide support for existing interfaces, reports and processes written in Oracle Stored Procedures and Crystal Reports. * Design and implementation of new interfaces, reports and processes written in Oracle Stored Procedures and Crystal Reports as well as of new Data Warehouse based processes and/or reporting. Detailed responsibilities include: * work directly with Business Analysts to provide solutions that fit the problem: Based on Problem level should be able to plan appropriately allowing for multiple phased solutions. * Develop test cases and work with customers to validate system requirements and performance. * Assist in the implementation of enhancements to the applications supporting Progress Ventures Regulated and Unregulated Trading Applications QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum 5yrs overall IT experience; * Minimum 3yrs experience developing SQL in Oracle 9i or higher (this needs to be no older than 6 months); * Min 3yrs experience developing PL/SQL in Oracle 9i or higher (no older than 6 months); * Min 3yrs experience developing in Crystal Reports 8.0 or higher; * BS in Management Information Systems or related discipline; * Experience with interface, report and stored procedure development (Oracle) from analysis, through design, code and testing required; * Experience in software development interacting with purchased software is preferred; * Experience with a lifecycle methodology is highly desired (RUP, CMMI is a bonus); * Large systems implementation and support (100+ users); * Excellent understanding of relational databases; * Demonstrated experience using advanced SQL tuning techniques; * Experience with data warehousing development and ETL (extract, transform, load) technology (such as Informatica's Powermart); * Experience with Business Objects universe and report development preferable.
