IT Administrator

McGarvey Development is a rapidly growing builder looking for qualified candidates for the position of IT Administrator. 

 

Overall Responsibilities

 

 

?  Performs maintenance and support servers, desktop PC, hardware, software, operating systems, phones and distributed printers.

?  Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

?  Ensures that personal computers, phones and networks are functioning properly and are available for the intended uses.

?  Ensures that backup, recovery and security procedures are set up and performed as planned and necessary.

?  Monitors the utilization of all networks to detect potential errors or problems and provides necessary prevention guidelines. Monitor networks to determine upgrade requirements and general utilization issues.

?  Assures all capital expenditure equipment and services are budgeted, scheduled on a fiscal basis, requested with proper justification and written for the approval of senior management. Also tracks the approval process and update the users when appropriate.

Key Task and Responsibilities

?  New user set up (PC, email and phone)

?  Troubleshooting PC and phone issues ? end user requests including Blackberry set up/support

?  Liaison for network issues

?  Preliminary server maintenance (rebooting, etc)

?  Email and Internet security and access

?  Support Timberline and Reporting

?  Assure continuity of the computer system for all system users

?  Research software products and applicability to organizational environment

?  Be well organized and pay close attention to detail

?  Stay abreast of the latest developments in MIS technology

?  Ability to work without supervision.

?  Additional projects as assigned
