Position Description:

Description of principal duties of job
> Develop illustrations which are representations of the non-guaranteed values of a policy over a period of time and sales solutions for RI&I Annuity products.
> Work closely with other RI&I functions, primarily Marketing, Marketing Operations, Sales, and Product Management on sales tools.
> Support and maintain existing, highly customized Marketing Operations workflow tracking application.
> Work closely with other RI&I IT functions on designing and building integrated solutions.
> Responsible for code development, documentation and application support.
> Accountable for the on-time delivery of projects

Basic Candidate Qualifications:
> At least 8 years of professional experience using Visual Basic and other 4 GL development tools.
> Experience designing detail technical solutions involving web and message-based applications
> Familiar with diverse technology platforms and applications
> Good understanding of the software development life cycle and/or project management methodology
> Experience and good understanding of Insurance and Financial Services industry
> Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical customers
> Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
> Self-directed and works well under pressure
> Bachelor degree in related major or equivalent experience

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
> Experience with illustration solutions and sales tools
> Experience with web-centric technologies, including XML, Web-services, JAVA
> Experience with application-to-application integration via messaging solutions such as MQ Series.
> Experience with Microsoft Access and VBA
> Ability to reverse engineer and document existing applications.
> 6 Sigma - Greenbelt trained
> IMLP, other GE Program Graduate or similar program
