PROJECT MANAGER

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities of departmental technology projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget parameters. 

 

Responsibilities:

? Assist with estimates for Project Office requests and ensure that Project Office methodologies are adhered to

? Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, allotment of available departmental resources to various phases of project

? Work with end-user representatives to gather project requirements

? Formulate and define technical scope and objective of project

? Work closely with Project Office Manager and other project manager(s) to identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and required tasks

? Assign duties and responsibilities, and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure that project progresses on schedule and within budget

? Communicate project status/issues in weekly report; assure management is made aware of critical issues in a timely manner

? Generate project methodology documents

? Generate and document project test cases and test plans

? Work with end-user representatives directly to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed objectives

? Coordinate and manage project implementations

 

Requirements:

? Graduate level degree is desirable in computer science or related field

? 3+ years of experience in application development methodologies

? Project Management Professional certified or in progress is preferred

? 5+ years of experience in programming using RPG II, III or ILE programming language; JDE, JDA, or Log Pro experience a plus

? Ability to plan and control projects by developing and following timelines, use of delegation and effective communication

? Excellent written and oral communication skills
