IT Auditor

Your function Internal Audit (IA) at SWIFT is comprised of a team of highly skilled, experienced, and dedicated professionals which provides the Board of Directors and Management with independent assessments of SWIFT's risk and control environment. As a member of our select team you will be following today's best practices in internal audit. Our team members make recommendations contributing to the continued achievment of SWIFT's stragegic goals and objectives. As an IT Auditor you will be responsible for the scoping, fieldwork, issues clearance and reporting of all assigned audits per year, under the supervision of a Senior IT Auditor and/or the US Systems Audit Manager. This job requires technically skilled people (networks, UNIX, Unisys MCP, Oracle), with excellent communication skills and command of English (French and/or Dutch desirable). As an auditor you will need to work independently as well as be a team player. You will be expected to contribute to IA's continuous improvement program.

Your responsibilities will be to

Execute work assigned by more senior auditors and perform fieldwork with quality in line with internal standards.
Analyse and validate audit findings with auditees, suggesting recommendations for improvements and preparing draft reports for review by more senior auditors.
Participate with more senior auditors in other tasks, including review of supporting evidence once management has requested closure of recommendations.
Monitor periodic operational and other reports on the status of system components, projects and products.
The person filling this position will be expected to:
-- Plan, scope and undertake end-to-end audit assignments under the direction of audit management.
-- Draft relevant and succinct audit reports with pragmatic and effective solutions on control issues to management and customers and obtain clearance from management.
-- Ensure quality of all audit deliverables and compliance with internal standards.
-- Propose and assist in the development of improved audit techniques and automated tools; participate in formulating procedures, standards, and programs;
-- Assist in reviewing supporting evidence once management has requested closure of issues and in providing input on proposed new internal policies that relate to SWIFT's control or security aspects.

Some travel (including international) is involved (up to 20%).Do you have what it takes?
Education
University degree - CISA, CISSP, CIA or similar certifications are a definite asset.

Experience
At least 3-8 years relevant experience. -

Professional skills
-- Professional knowledge and expertise. Detailed knowledge of at least one of the following: HPUX, Unisys MCP, Oracle, CISCO networking devices, VPN, Firewalls
-- Knowledge of SWIFT products and services is an asset
-- Knowledge of industry standards such as SAS 70 and ISO 17799 is an asset
-- Strong analytical skills
-- Ability to work independently
-- Excellent communication and planning skills
-- A team player willing to work in a multicultural environment
-- Fluent in English. Familiarity with French or Dutch a definite asset.
