IT Business Analyst (Adage)

Cargill is an international provider of food, agricultural and risk management products and services.  With 142,000 employees in 61 countries, the company is committed to using its knowledge and experience to collaborate with customers to help them succeed. The Adage team is part of the Fulfillment group within Food IT.  We are seeking a motivated person to join our team to help support and work on projects around the Adage ERP and integrated Warehouse Control System (WCS) software solutions.  Adage is an ERP software package that is deployed at 10+ business units with 800+ users.  This position requires the ability to work with end users on issues, understand software and the related business processes associated with supporting an Enterprise application.  This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to multiple business units. Support system end users.  Work with system users, Business Relationship Managers (BRM) and other Cargill departments to maintain and improve the Adage environment.  Work with the Business Units to determine best practices while promoting collaboration and common processes between BU’s.  Help manage configuration, set-up and training for the Adage/WCS application set.  Manage and own project tasks and other workload assignments.  Be part of the support on call rotation. Responsibilities:Support Adage ERP and Warehouse Control System (WMS) applications. Work in various roles on projects to build value for businesses from Adage. Manage software set-up, configurations and reported issues. Work with the business to create specifications for reports. Implement business processes around software solutions. Promote and coordinate the collaboration of business process and solutions across BU’s.  Standardize processes where possible. Provide risk management, issue management and change control. Opportunity to spend time at a business site working on projects.

Required:Bachelors degree in IT, Business Degree or Equivalent Work Experience. 3+ years large application support and/or Business Analyst experience. Knowledge of some common business processes. Strong communication skills both written and verbal Self-starter who can manage detail task themselves based on the approved high-level requirements. Ability to effectively problem solve. Ability to prioritize based on understood criteria and work on multiple projects/tasks at on time. Desired:Working within a Business Unit. Project Management for small projects.Experience with Adage or other ERP package and/or Warehouse Management Systems.Experience supporting an enterprise software package.
