IT Business Analyst - Investments

Position Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? Serve as direct liaison to functional process owners in order to translate and prioritize requirements for assigned area project and maintenance work
? Responsible for translating high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and if necessary, for managing requests for changes to the specifications.
? Assists the business in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how they are then integrated with other business and technical processes.
? Maintains functional peer relationships and detailed working knowledge of the assigned area's systems, organization, and business processes.
? Assist in the development and implementation of new applications, technology and third-party services in support of Real Estate, Private Placements and/or Portfolio Management

GENERAL:
? Position will report to IT Solutions Leader-Asset Management or IT Solutions Leader-Portfolio Management
? Positions will be based in Stamford, CT

Basic Candidate Qualifications:
? Minimum 2 years experience in translating business requirements into system specifications
? 1 or more years Financial Services experience
? Previous experience with one or more System Development Life Cycle methodologies (Waterfall, RUP, etc.)
? Hands-on experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML)
? Previous experience in Software Quality Assurance, including the use of automated testing tools (IBM/Rational or Mercury)
? Articulate communicator - verbal, written, formal & informal
? Demonstrated planning skills

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
? Previous Investments experience
? BS degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field or previous application development experience
