IT Business Sr Analyst 2

Provider of Satellite Entertainment programmer to U.S households

Responsible for the project planning and management of projects generated by various business units within DTV for execution in the IT department, utilizing DTV tools and processes. Work with development, operations, and testing teams on establishing project deliverables and scheduling. Assist with the coordination development resources within Business Process Solutions for planning and delivering project elements. Assist with the coordination of the build process and deployment efforts. Ensure that documented requirements are provided to the team. Work closely with the Testing team in defining test plans and mapping proper production path environments. Establish and maintain project plans, report progress as required, generate risk assessments/escalate issues, and support project review presentations.

Must have a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a software development environment, including some projects involving web development. Must demonstrate experience with managing projects within formal WIP and SDLC processes. Ability to understand and create and update detailed project plans. Ability to understand and create process flows - extensive experience with flow charting software required. Candidates must have superior written and verbal communication skill, ability to effectively manage multiple projects independently, and good presentation skills. Candidates must also have the ability to work within team structures and across functional teams. PMP or equivalent certification preferred. Experience with BPM and UML tools desired.
