IT Buyer

The IT Buyer is accountable for purchasing Information Services related hardware, software and services with a focus on meeting the technology need, quality, cost control and timely delivery. Position also tracks purchases and coordinates disposition upon arrival. In addition, the position is accountable for maintaining IT inventory on hand and assists the Cost Control Specialist in maintaining an effective cost control system.
High School Diploma or GED required. A Bachelor?s Degree in a related field plus three to five years of related buying experience; or equivalent combination of education or experience preferred.
Strong negotiation skills.
Good research, analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
Good attention to detail skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in teams with a collaborative interpersonal style.
Good verbal and written communications skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications at a basic level preferred.
Possess accurate keyboarding proficiency.
