IT Compliance Manager

Do you enjoy the travel industry? This Seattle company is looking to add an IT Compliance Manager to their team. This position is responsible for the adherence and compliance identified through audits performed internally and externally, working closely with all applicable parties for audit planning, testing, and SOX required documentation. Essential functions: work closely with the VP of IT and VP of Finance, Controller, and SOX Coordinator (to secure consensus on timelines, key IT control definitions, and IT processes, facilitate management's testing and follow-up to ensure that specific test scripts or the performance of a test has been completed and passed, participate in SOX committee meetings, work closely with others (IT, Finance, MAS, and external auditors) as it relates to IT SOX compliance, assist in ensuring that all groups adhere to the IT Department policies, manage the ERA model and provide reports to various parties from that database, prepare (with approval of the SOX committee) a timeline for management's quarterly testing of IT controls and review it with external auditors, coordinate with IT management deadlines for their testing of the controls in their areas, review management's tests and documentation in ERA and follow-up with management to facilitate compliance with testing requirements, facilitate management's completion of certification and other SOX documentation in a timely manner, benchmark with other SOX coordinators company-wide and in dialogue with external auditors to continually enhance the efficiency of the model by removing non-key controls and non-financial processes, assist in providing training and ongoing support to IT process owners on the SOX software, work with IT management in establishing processes to ensure that SOX compliance is always considered when making changes (or installing any application enhancements, server set-ups, and infrastructure changes), be responsible for Disaster Recovery Planning.

Candidates must possess a BA degree or higher in Accounting, Information Systems, or related discipline and have had progressively responsible positions in IT technology and process audits to include SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance testing and documentation standards. Candidates must have baseline knowledge for UNIX and Windows operating environments and Oracle and SQL database applications. Proven ability to perform IT internal control assessments and remediation activities is required. Proven ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders is required.
