IT Development Manager

Credit Suisse has excellent opportunities for an IT Development Manager:

 

Overall Responsibilities:

Credit Suisse (CS) is in the process of deploying a strategic infrastructure to support the firm?s Energy Trading and Marketing business.  The first milestone of this deployment will be an initial release of the Endur trading system in March 2006. Once fully deployed, Endur, an Openlink product, will support financial and physical trading of power, natural gas, oil, weather and emissions trading in North America. The IT group has been tasked with supporting the configuration of the Endur platform including system interface and report development along with other related spreadsheet and application development activities. 

 

The main responsibility of this role is to manage a team of 3+ developers in Raleigh. 

 

Functional Responsibilities:

?  Manage a team of 3+ developers

?  Design and Develop AVS scripts for feeds / reports for users

?  Work with business analysts to understand user requirements and develop technical solutions.

?  Prepare technical code and support documentation for the delivered application components.

?  Mentor / cross-train other team members

?  Adhere to set coding standards, procedures and techniques.

?  Work with other IT groups to configure, implement and support production.

?  Involved in full development lifecycle development projects

?  Gain understanding of Credit Suisse?s energy trading business

?  Work effectively with team member in other locations situated globally.

May require travel occasionally. Will require travel to NY for training purpose (4-6 weeks).

Personal Skills:

?  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing within IT and with providing support to end users.

?  Must be a self-starter and be able to operate independently within a team members situated globally.

?  Demonstrates professional development.

?  Able to manage work between local manager and strategic project leads.

?  Previous development management experience desired

?  Previous role in software architecture desired

 

5+ Years of IT Experience

 

Collegiate degree (BS or above) required
