IT/Infrastructure Project Manager

Effective technology plays an essential role at American Imaging Management, a growing national provider of diagnostic imaging management services. At our headquarters in Deerfield, IL (in Chicago's north suburbs), we seek a skilled professional to join our Project Management Office as an IT/Infrastructure Project Manager. Both full-time and contract-to-hire positions are available.

Successfully planning and managing projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, this skilled professional will be responsible for all aspects of project implementation, tracking, analysis and deliverables.

Primary responsibilities will include:

* Defining, validating, monitoring and controlling project scope

* Creating, maintaining and managing project statement of work (SOW), cost-benefit analysis (CBA), and supporting project documentation & schedules

* Staffing and managing project team members- Measuring and monitoring goal progress on a daily basis by tracking technology projects and reporting to appropriate management levels.

* Identifying and mitigating project risks

* Presenting project summaries and status information to all levels of the organization (must possess strong presentation and communication skills)

* Assisting in estimation of project and developer time; man-hours (resource allocation)

* Fostering a team environment and managing project personnel at varying technical levels

* Leading project-planning meetings

* Coordinating other IT activities


Experience and Skills:
Demonstrating plenty of initiative and autonomy, the ideal candidate will bring significant experience in:

Planning and managing IT projects, including strong knowledge of infrastructure and configuration management.

Bachelors degree in applicable engineering or science field or equivalent with demonstrated high academic and/or job performance required,

Solid knowledge of MS Project

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all project participants and stakeholders is crucial.
