IT Manager SAP/MFG

ITPro's client company is hiring a Manager of IT

 

We are hiring a hands on IT Manager from an SAP Manufacturing environment for our location in North West Vermont.

 



Assures compatibility of all standards used for computer hardware / software, network cabling, and network management products. Manages ongoing local development of AS 400 applications. Coordinates Financial, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Distribution, Process Computer Group and Networking applications implementations and enhancements. Responsible for leading and driving various IT program implementations to assure effective utilization and enhanced functionality to improve business performance. Will lead SAP Implementation, and drive the business and process improvement through maximizing SAP Resources

1. Directs all Information Technology and System functions at this location and coordinates activities with corporate IT staff. Works with Department Directors to develop, monitor, and maintain a strategic IT program that meets the business requirements and strategic plans. Responsible for IT Disaster Recovery Plan.

2. Responsible for consulting with users, design, and implementation of business processes on the AS/400 computer for software products including SAP Manufacturing, Finance, HR systems, security systems, manufacturing, quality assurance, and the engineering / stores system. Also responsible for the implementation of PC/LAN based systems such as Windows active directory, Outlook, Tra/x etc..

3. Responsible for procurement, installation, and maintenance of all computer hardware and software and all other products and supplies necessary to keep computer systems operable. Also responsible for peripheral IT equipment and operation, such as Video Conferencing

4. Create, maintain, and enforce written policies and procedures regarding all computer operations at the facility

5. Directs IT projects, prioritizes work of the Department, and coaches subordinates in job functions, career development, and performance management

6. Develop, prepare, and monitor IT Department annual budget, operational metrics including productivity and quality. Evaluates IT equipment and procedures for maximum efficiency and cost containment.

 

 REQUIREMENTS

BS Degree in Data Processing, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field. Advanced Degree preferred.

A minimum of 10 years experience within Information Technology and at least 5 years managerial experience in IT - Manufacturing environment.

Knowledge and experience with AS400 Operating Systems. Must have experience with SAP Software, MS Office Suite, CITRIX, Outlook, ADP HR and Payroll
