The Manager Application Data Services is accountable for 24 hour, 7 day a week for all operational activities related to Interface, Data Base Administration, and Data Warehousing. The Manager is responsible for assisting the Associate Director Technical Services in identifying and promoting technologies that meet the strategic, tactical and daily business requirements. The Manager Application Data Services is responsible for providing ongoing managerial, technical and motivational leadership.

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor degree preferred. Five to six years of professional IS experience. Experience must include functional experience with Oracle, MS/SQL and DB2 data bases, application interfacing/integration (HL7 preferred), or Data Warehousing. At least 3 years of supervisory/significant project management experience is required. The knowledge necessary to do the job requires keeping current with technology in the areas of specialization through reading of periodicals in the field and occasional attendance at technical and/or professional seminar and courses. Must demonstrate experience in the development of data warehousing solutions within the healthcare industry. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of employees and staff within the organization. Out of town travel is occasionally required and there is a requirement for on-call rotations, using a pager/cell phone on a periodic basis.

The Manager is responsible for assisting the Associate Director Technical Services in planning, reviewing and controlling activities and functions of the mainframe, Unix and SAN environments. This includes the analysis, requirements definition, selection, implementation, effectiveness measurement, and recommending post-implementation strategies for enhancing operation services, technologies and systems required to support the needs of our organization. The Manager is responsible for assisting the Associate Director Technical Services in identifying and promoting technologies that meet the strategic, tactical and daily business requirements of our organization.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
