IT Project Manager

Position Description:

*Execute projects that are aligned with Genworth's Customer IT Solutions Processes
*Develop, sell and implement comprehensive project plans
*Identify critical path decisions, make recommendations and influence others in order to maximize project payback
*Manage daily activities including issue resolution and communication across the execution teams to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
*Work with Technical Leads to translate high-level business requirements into detailed Technical specifications
*Proactively look for opportunities to create business value and positive customer impact through technology
*Monitor performance against SLA's. Work with Genworth IT and vendor teams to resolve production issues
*Establish and foster partnering relationships with internal and external clients
*Develop business process knowledge and technical skills through formal training and self-study
*Step in as backup for Team Leader as needed

Basic Candidate Qualifications:
*BS in Technical (CIS, MIS, or Equivalent) or Business Degree
*3+ years of Project Management responsibility / experience
*Experience leading multiple cross-functional teams
*Strategic thinking with strong execution discipline
*Strong sense of ownership and drive, and a passion for customer satisfaction
*Experience managing multiple stakeholder expectations
*Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts efficiently
*Advanced management of multiple projects with tight deadlines
*Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly and collaboratively
*Ability to lead and motivate teams independent of reporting structure
*Detail orientation
*Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
*BB Certified
*PMP Certified
*Graduate of GE/GEFA/Genworth IMLP
*Masters Degree in Information Technology or Business
*Experience with Insurance or Financial Services Operations
*Experience leading multi-platform IT projects
