IT Project Manager , PMO

IT PMO is seeking 5 Project Managers

Job Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in IT or the equivalent. Must have 7+yrs of IT experience with an emphasis in application and/or infrastructure services in a large enterprise environment. Must have completed at least three PM courses toward a PM certification PMI or equivalent organization. Must have 5+ yrs of experience as a PM with recent experience leading project with the following characteristics: successful implementation of small to medium project with a budget of up to one million dollars or greater in cost, project duration over 3 months, and vendors; experience managing cross-functional teams; participation in the selection of demonstrated experience resolving conflicts; ability to provide oversight, coordination and communication with the clients, vendor mgmt, IT mgmt and other IT support groups; proj mgmt skills including estimation, perform cost benefit analysis, project planning, requirements gathering, project tracking, and performance mgmt. Demonstrate familiarity with standard process improvement tools and techniques to analyze resource consumption, cycle time and process bottlenecks, as well as illustrate "as is" and "to be" business processes. Must have the experience with some business unit involvement and engagement with IT work groups; low to moderate impact to Corporate revenue stream, customer facing functions, or critical internal functions; integration of people processes, systems, and technology platforms within a department of business line; successful completion of project with low to medium risks with regard to resources, schedule, budget, quality, and delivered scope; project including resource hours btwn 10,000 to 20,000+ hours; and project with technical and business criticality in the low to med. range. Demonstrated abilities in developing strategic and tactical business concepts plans within a dept; providing direction and making strategic decision regarding changing project scope, policy dvlpmnt, and implementation; identifying and managing resolution of major issues. Demonstrate good interpersonal, oral and written skills, good computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Proj and MS Vision.

Typical Responsibilities:
Provide project level oversight for the project management processes of initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing. Responsibility includes the following: integration, scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, communication, risk, and procurement. Oversight activities include: project initiation, estimation, planning, requirements gathering, analysis and design, technical reviews, construction and integration, implementation, operational turnover, and project closing. Specific activities include: develop business cases; request funding; negotiate project commitments; ensure development and approval of planning documents; select subcontractors; review technical requirements; determine resource allocations; recommend corrective actions; participate in the formal project change control process; attend Technical Reviews; escalate action items; oversee project delivery and client satisfaction; communicate with all appropriate levels including general managers, managers, subject matter experts, and clients; and complete project objectives and deliverables within the approved performance measurement baseline; Tracking and taking corrective actions for risks and issues; Directing and coordinating activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget; Monitoring, measuring and reporting on project progress to management and clients; Implementing quality management controls and insuring adherence to configuration management procedures; Managing & directing cross-functional teams, providing leadership & motivation to team members and managing complex issues; Executing the organizational change management plan. May include managing a project office of an enterprise-wide initiative.
