IT Quality Assurance Analyst I

Job Purpose:

The IT Quality Assurance Analyst I is responsible for formal test case execution, defect verification, and regression, analysis and reporting of testing results, and other duties as assigned. The Quality Assurance Analyst I is also responsible for developing and/or revising project and team documentation, and actively participating in process improvement initiatives.

 

Job Duties: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the company.):

1.  Develops test documentations to include scenarios, test cases, and/or test scripts as assigned.

2.  Conducts tests as assigned, reports testing results (including passed/failed status, total test execution time, and all defects detected), executes defect-specific tests, as appropriate.

3.  Enters new defects into the defect tracking system, executes defect-specific tests as assigned in the defect tracking system.

4.  Assures compliance with PMO standards and procedures.

5.  Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

6.  Participates in one or more team process improvement initiatives.

7.  Documents team operating procedures.

8.  Other duties as assigned by management.

 

Experience & Skills Required: 

1.  Two (2) years experience in testing systems providing some level of quality assurance.

2.  Strong PC skills including working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

3.  Proven interpersonal and teamwork skills with a high level of energy/high sense of urgency.

4.  Strong commitment to both delivering high-quality products and providing excellent service to the customer.

5.  Retail experience strongly preferred.

6.  PC hardware, network communications, and/or software programming skills preferred.

7.  Has knowledge of commonly-used QA concepts, practices, and procedures.

 

Education Required:

High School Diploma or equivalency required.

Associate?s degree in a technical discipline or at least three (3) years experience in an IT environment.
