IT Reporting Analyst

Builders Mutual Insurance Company, an AM Best 'A' rated insurance provider for Southeastern home builders, is looking for an IT Reporting Analyst to join our growing team! In this key position you will analyze report requirements, and design, develop and implement business driven information solutions in a Microsoft development environment. The candidate will work with the data warehousing team to come up with the best possible solutions to deliver accurate and timely information.

 

ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test and implement web-based and SQL Server 2005 reporting applications that support the requirements defined by users and analysts. Perform business process analysis, including meeting with business users, gathering and documenting user requirements and developing test plans. Work collaboratively with development team and business partners in defining, developing and implementing technology solutions to improve business data analysis functions. Develop documentation for all reporting applications, including the development and maintenance of data dictionaries and scheduled data requirements. Train the business users on Microsoft reporting tools and understanding data mart content. Develop and enforce policies and procedures around using the reporting tools. Gather requirements and make recommendations for additional data marts and/or enhancements to existing marts. Work with data warehouse team and business users to ensure proper balancing procedures are followed thoroughly  and accurately. Manage and Maintain security access for the reporting tools.

 

Qualifications Demonstrated experience with dimensional databases (data warehouses), SQL, and cube development. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Access, Word). Experience with reporting tools such as SQL Reporting Services or Crystal Reports. Strong analytical and problem resolution skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Background with business support  in the Insurance Industry preferred. Exposure to .NET technologies a plus. Bachelor?s degree (or equivalent experience) preferred.
