IT Risk Manager

As an IT Risk Manager with U.S. Bank, you will:Cultivate an awareness of risk management with all levels of staff within assigned business unit(s) and shares knowledge of regulatory trends, helping to accurately assess associated business impact(s). Ensure risk management standards are met for assigned business units(s) by working closely with management team, Corporate Risk Management, and external regulators. Work closely with management on SOX 404, risk assessments, vendor risk management, audits and exams, business continuity planning, compliance training, etc. Address control gaps and recommendations from Risk Self-Assessments, Audits, and Regulators. Ensure appropriate communication and escalation of risk issues. Bring about new ideas and challenge current processes. Contributes to overall quality improvements and the development of best practices. While we expect that you?ll possess a strong basic skill set, including excellent communication and people skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently, we also require: Technology knowledge, with a basic understanding of programming, project management methodology/practices, operating systems, information security, network security, database management systems, firewalls. Audit or Risk Management experience, or background with demonstrated experience in dealing with operational risks while optimizing efficiency. A successful history of being able to work independently to develop creative solutions in support of business line and team objectives. Proven analytical skills, detail-orientation, and strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to effectively interface with business units, including senior management, and our regulators. Excellent communication, relationship management, presentation skills. Solid skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Access and Visio helpful. A Bachelors's degree and have eight-or-more years of experience in the field or related experience.
