The qualified candidate must be a subject matter expert in IT security and must have knowledge of general security controls at the operating system, database, and network level.A strong understanding of  a variety of application security mechanisms such as Web Single-Sign-On and Role-based Entitlements is required. The candidate will conduct reviews of both in-house and outsourced application systems in development as well as reviews of third party software and legal contracts.  Specific responsibilities include the following:

 Conducts application reviews and vulnerability assessments for new and existing applications, infrastructure components, third party services and legal contracts.Capable of conducting a wide variety of reviews such as control self-assessments, spot-checks, penetration studies, and process audits. Maintains procedures and metrics related to the Information Security Review Process.  Devises and implements process improvements.Trains project managers, developers, administrators, and other stakeholder (including junior security reviewers) on the Information Security Review Process. 

 

Technical Qualifications:

Platforms: Some combination of UNIX, NT, CICS, AS400

Project Experience: Broad technical knowledge encompassing three-tiered application designs, database management systems, distributed systems and mainframe operating system platforms and the TCP/IP protocol



Database Systems:  Standard DBMS security mechanisms



Other:  Technical Documentation experience
