IT Senior Business Systems Analyst – GIS Business Relationship Management

POSITION OVERVIEW:

? Position reports into the Tellabs GIS (Global Information Services) BRM (Business Relationship Management) Organization.
? Analyze business, system, and process requirements to redesign or reinvent system solutions which enable business processes.
? Performs prototyping and configuration of SAP R3 SD and SM.
? Determines, and communicates, impact to the Business for system and process change.
? Uses judgment in proactively researching, evaluating, and implementing best practices and communicates to Management and Business.
? Communicates business requirements, definitions, and business procedures to other IT areas.
? Explains the relationship and dependencies between business applications, business areas, and technical environments, understands various platforms, and works with all Business and IT areas to recommend best-fit solutions, to prepare solution design documents, and document cost/benefit analysis.
? Leads business reviews related to IT processes and products, creates action plans, and coordinates implementing changes across all IT and Business areas.
? Works with their Manager and Business area on business strategies, system solutions, service levels, IT portfolios, and establishing measurements for internal customer satisfaction.
? Ensures that application and technical solutions enable and meet business requirements.
? Leads and documents the design sign-off process.
? Leads various prototyping and scoping functions. Managing Resources
? Leads medium to large projects and multiple small projects.
? Creates project plans with timelines/resources, resolves problems, controls projects, and ensures deadlines and project budgets are met.
? Collaborate on Business requests during requirements, estimation, development, and implementation.
? Provide a single client interface between the Business & IT.
? Lead and facilitate cross functional solution design process.



QUALIFICATIONS:

? 7 years in depth business analyst and leadership experience.
? SAP SD/SM initial implementation and IMG configuration as well as experience merging acquired companies in an existing environment.
? Knowledge of the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Services business models and technologies which support those areas.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
? Intimate knowledge of the SAP IMG in the area of SD & SM.
? In depth understanding of how SD integrates to FI/PP/MM/LE/PS.
? Experienced user of MS Office and MS Project.
? Strong communication and presentation skills.
? Negotiations and conflict resolution.
Pluses:
? PMO experience.
? SAP CRM
? SAP PS
? Experience working in an IT Governance model.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related business discipline
