Position Purpose
A Service Manager is the single point of contact and accountability for all IT services provided to a particular business segment / function. The Service Manager is responsible for business satisfactions with for IT services.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Ensure business-IT strategic alignment
Manage business relationships and monitor status of business
Develop IT plans and scope projects in support of key business objectives
Assist and drive project prioritization
Work with other IT managers to staff and execute projects
Ensure all customer service issues for the business unit are handled and closed out through the Help Desk and Production Support team
Nature and Scope
Typically reports to Director, IT
Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
Environmental Job Requirements
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.



Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age or older

Education RequiredThe knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Physical Job RequirementsMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in systems development and project management across a variety of technical platforms.
Experience within a matrix management environment

Experience with systems that are utilized in retail and or distribution businesses
BS in Computer Science or related field
Experience with mergers and acquisitions a plus
PMP certification preferred
