IT Services/Network Manager

The Network Manager within our IT Services department will be responsible for the day to day operations of the IT Department, systems and infrastructure growth.  Initially this individual will be the sole IT person but will ultimately be given the responsibility of hiring staff and building a help desk support function.

 

This position will have the overall responsibility for all budget projections, inventory control, PC replacement plan and other various tasks.

 

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):

?  Perform daily administration and maintenance desktop/laptop computers, servers, backup of servers, fax, printers, internal operating system, and postage meters.

?  Provide operational and help desk support.

?  Ensure daily backup and tape management

?  Able to support complex network problems or network infrastructure issues and to manage the performance and capacity of LAN and WAN environments.

?  Must be able to quickly analyze system failures to minimize outages and interruptions.

?  Maintain an Exchange 2003/Outlook/Blackberry communications environment (& Treo).

?  Maintain system security including corporate anti virus and anti spam.

?  Diagnose and resolve issues with 3rd party software vendors, client/server applications, and web applications.

?  Determine and plan for software/hardware changes and upgrades for file servers, application servers, networking systems and workstations.

?  Responsible for the office security administration and maintenance.

?  Maintain PBX and Telecom Equipment.

?  Manage a 24x7 non-stop operation.

?  Support multiple locations/remote connectivity.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE (but not limited to):

?  Extensive experience with Windows 2000/2003 Server and Active Directory

?  Extensive experience with Exchange 2003

?  Experience with SQL Server.

?  Experience with data management and storage.

?  Extensive experience with Dell, HP high end servers and workstations.

Additional experience in the following areas: Active Directory (domains, group policy, etc.), TCP/IP, DNS/WINS/DHCP, FTP, Cisco & 3Com network products (routers, switches, hubs, firewalls, etc), VPN, Windows 2000 Professional/Server, Windows XP, Exchange Server, and a working
