IT Sourcing Applications Specialist

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
As an IT Sourcing Applications Specialist you will have the responsibility to implement IT projects for the Silicones Americas Sourcing organization (with global coordination) for both the business and its vendors. GE Silicones runs on a global SAP platform. This position leverages various Internet and SAP technology solutions in support of growth, cost out and productivity opportunities for the business.

Essential Functions:
* Act as a liaison between the IT and business community making sure we are using technology to meet business needs.
* Lead a team of contractors and consultants to deliver the technical solution to the business.
* Operational support for the sourcing function - including driving root cause corrective action to reduce the number of cases and resolution timing.
* Simplify the requisition to pay process by increasing automation and streamlining the process. This will include reducing manual work, digitizing paper flow, improving visibility to the process and eliminating defects in the complete process.
* Digitize the connection to our vendors by improving and driving usage of web technologies.
* Provide tools and reports to facilitate master data maintenance within the sourcing function.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in a technical discipline
* Minimum of 1 year SAP experience or 1 year sourcing/supply chain experience.
* Proven experience in managing large scale software development projects through direct or matrix leadership
* Experience leading diverse teams of employees, consultants, and contractors
* Ability to excel in a global matrix organization

Desired:
* SAP experience in the Materials Management module
* 6 Sigma certified
* Demonstrated ability to initiate and drive sustainable change
* Ability to lead multiple projects to closure - bias for action
* Cross - functional business experience
* Strong written and oral communication skills with proven ability to influence cross functionally at all levels of the organization
