IT Sourcing Manager - NJ

Hudson Financial Solutions has been engaged by a NJ based multinational to identify and recruit a Sourcing Manager - IT. This is an individual contributor role, but has significant visibility across the organization and opportunity for advancement. This is a critical time in the organization's shift to a truly Strategic Sourcing model, and you have the chance to help roadmap these exciting developments.

 

Salary: 70-95k plus bonus (20% target)

 

Summary of Duties:

Position will manage the selection, development, negotiation, execution and administration of contracts that cover a wide variety of complex specifications and commercial items or services including Hardware, Software, Telecoms & Network Data.

Manage procurement projects from inception to completion. 

Monitor compliance with established buying processes and procedures.

Identifying organizational needs and negotiating with suppliers for services and products to meet those needs.

Lead negotiation teams and serve as a team leader or mentor to other procurement professionals.

Develop, produce and deliver information and metrics to all levels of management concerning industry trends, supplier performance.

Encouraging the utilization of procurement services by all prospective business partner organizations.

Research, identify, seek out and obtain needed information, facts or data by questioning others and/or using paper-based or electronic documentation and data.

Analyze and calculate financial ratios to identify trends, risks and measure performance. Translate financial data into management information.

Qualifications Requested:

Bachelor's Degree

5+ years relevant procurement experience

Well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated problem solver; Executes/ Manages complex work that has significant impact on achieving business goals.

Functions independently within broadly defined direction. Minimal guidance in performing complex contracting.

Employs a disciplined process for defining, measuring and achieving desired results and objectives on multiple projects.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interface with all levels of management internally and external suppliers.

Provides timely and effective written and verbal communications relating to simple and complex ideas involving multiple procurement issues; seeks input from others.

Proficiency in personal computer applications; business and industry analysis, excellent financial analysis; supplier selection and management; contract/ RFP/ NDA/ evaluation matrix development; contract negotiations; conflict management; building team alignment.
