IT Specialist - Distribution Exp a PLUS!

We are currently recruiting for an IT SPECIALIST, ideally with experience in the distribution or warehousing arena.  This position is an OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY to work with a leading Denver area employer, and will be either TEMP-TO-HIRE or DIRECT HIRE for the right person!  Pay will be $22-25/hour, or $45, 760-52,000 annually.

 

Primary Responsibilities will include:

Provide warehouse management system and personal computer installation and support throughout the Provider Business Unit.  Administer the effective use of technology and maintain accurate inventory of assets.  The incumbent is responsible for research, configuration, connectivity, purchase, installation, and technical user support of personal computer and warehouse management systems and related equipment and software. The incumbent will be required to act independently as the on-site information technology expert. This position provides on-call support in the area of personal computer usage in wide area network/local area network (WAN/LAN) environment.

The Information Technology Specialist is required to understand the business needs and will establish guidelines and standards for computer usage. The most challenging aspect of this position are to coordinate resources between the company and it?s clients and deliver support and training in a timely manner that not only meets the current needs of multiple independent departments, but also maintains flexibility to allow for future office system needs. Knowledge and experience in support and training of office systems is essential. Frequent interaction occurs with a large number of individuals inside and outside the business unit requiring a high level of professionalism.

 

REQUIRED:Must have sound knowledge of distribution process and use of technology based solutions. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Access.  Must have experience in RF, PC configuration, LAN/WAN and SQL. Prefer a working knowledge of UNIX and Informix.  A college degree or equivalent experience is required. Preferably experience is in a logistics/warehouse distribution operation.  Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills are required. Ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks. Good judgment and decision making ability is required.Additional: On call support for system problems is mandatory.
