General Requirements:

 

The IT System Engineer is responsible for system administration and provides infrastructure engineering to support a growing customer base of 30 users.  Servers will be a mixture of both Windows and FC4 Linux.   Desktops are primarily Windows XP Professional.   You should be a self starter and able to work on your own.

 

Essential Skills:

 Administration experience with:Windows 2003 servers Windows XP desktopsFedora FC4 Linux serversMySQL DatabaseMSOffice 2003Adobe Acrobat, and Photoshop suitesMCSA or 2+ years of experience managing Windows serversExperience setting up an Active directory Experience managing mail services Networking knowledge of  LANs, WAP, and Wireless accessPrinter setup, debug, and troubleshooting skillsExperience using telephone switches and setting up new telephonesVNC communicationsVPN networkingKnowledge of MySQL databases and account management skillsTape backup management Basic understanding of networking services such as http, ftp, ssh
