The IT Systems Administrator will primarily be responsible for all technology support in our new call center in New Bedford MA. However, the position will often require troubleshooting ALL equipment in our Retail locations. This includes, 3 call centers and soon to be close to 800 branches. Troubleshooting will include desk-side support as well as remote support depending on the location of the issue. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

? Provide consistent quality customer service to both internal and external customers that meets or exceeds Sovereign?s standards

? Perform a variety of complex or specialized tasks in support of business unit?s day-to-day operations

? Logging and tracking requests fro assistance including pc problems and voice equipment issues

? Diagnosing, evaluating, and prioritizing request for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, application software, Windows 2003 operating software, networking and other computer-related issues

? Escalating complex problems with software, hardware, and LAN/WAN networking to next level support for problem resolution

? Research, resolve, and follow-up on routine user problems

? Provide leadership in various projects involving the implementation or upgrade of Retail software and hardware

? Perform other job-related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Sovereign Bank is seeking a mid-level Systems Administrator to work in our Retail Technology department.  Qualified individuals will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, technical documentation skills and customer service skills.  This individual will have at least 5+ years experience as a System Administrator where they sharpened their technology troubleshooting skills and demonstrated creative problem solving capabilities.  A Bachelor?s degree is required.
