The IT Systems Operations Analyst provides systems support, system and network problem analysis, and operations optimization for distributed systems including Linux and Windows in support of client requirements.  The team member will be responsible for maintaining system availability and process standards across all platforms.  The IT Systems Operations Analyst follows established programs and procedures to ensure efficient processing of information through setup, coordination, and monitoring equipment.  They observe operational processes and responds appropriately to errors to ensure availability. They are responsible for ensuring the security of all levels is dealt with in a proactive manner and also provide routine preventative maintenance.

? Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
? Some knowledge of Linux operating systems. 
? Some knowledge of networking technologies
? Some knowledge of security technology
? Extreme attention to details and procedures
? Achieve specific results from general direction
? Use ingenuity to find creative solutions to solve complex problems
? Some knowledge of scripting
? Determine course of action based on extremely complex issues in a time-pressured environment often with a portion of information needed to fully analyze the issue
? Work and derive creative and practical solutions in independent work environment
? Communicate clearly with all levels of employees and executives

 

Education and/or Experience:

? Two year Associates Degree in computer related field or equivalent experience required.
? Prior experience in 24/7/365 situation required
? 3 or more years of experience in an information technology department required; experience in Monitoring Systems.
