IT/Technical Support Manager

Practice Manager Group, LLC is a Denver based leading software and services provider seeking an IT/Technical Support Manager.  This postion will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of design, architecture, procurement, support and budgeting of all aspects of the infrastructure, services, and hardware of the company as well as the general management of the team comprising the IT and Technical Support Department.  The position requires working with other management personnel to identify and find solutions for issues involved in the delivery and support of our software.  Salary up to $70K DOE.

The successful candidate must be a hands-on individual able to handle a fast paced, multi-task, deadline driven environment as well as the ability to work self sufficiently and within a team.  Position is located in the Denver area. 

Responsibilities

This position requires someone who is self-motivated, a logical problem solver, organized, and communicates well through written and spoken mediums.  As this is a very hands-on technical position, it is important that this individual have a good balance of management and technical experience with leadership skills allowing them to find cost-effective, reasonable, solutions as well as provide mentoring to the staff working for them. 

? Manages all day-to-day activities in the IT and Support department for internal and external clients.

? Manages and develops the IT and Support staff which includes hiring, developing growth plans, terminating, discipline, shift scheduling, setting work priorities, performance evaluation and directing work assignments.

? Develops, implements, manages and supports all IT and business systems within the company for a nationally-distributed staff.

? Coordinates and oversees IT strategies for the company?s foreign subsidiaries.

? Provides documentation and audit of IT infrastructure, manages PMG network, security, domains, and software and hardware needs for the company.

? Provides direct customer support on IT issues for internal customers and software issues for external customers in direct coordination with QA, Custom Programming, and Client Services Departments.

? Provides reports to corporate management and assistance in budget planning as needed. 

? Oversee IT audit of potential clients to ensure compliance with our minimum software requirements.

Experience/SkillsBachelor?s degree in IT or Computer Science and minimum of 8-10 years of overall technical support and management experience which includes at least 3 years of management of technical departments and personnel.

? 3-5 years experience installing enterprise server software in Windows Environments.

? Technical expertise in one or more of Microsoft SQL, Exchange, Citrix, Sharepoint,  Terminal Server, and the Windows family of Servers

? Understanding of Cisco Firewalls, Routers, and Switches

? Juniper Netscreen FirewallsRelevant Microsoft Certifications or ability to become certified within 3 months of date of hire. One of the following is highly preferredMicrosoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)Strong written and verbal English skills in addition to flexibility in work hours which could include being on-callAbility to travel occasionally, including internationally. Advanced networking abilities, including the ability to handle distributed networked environments.Familiarity with Virtual environments, either VMWare or Virtual Server.Understanding of Enterprise Network security needs.Proficient in Active Directory design, implementation and maintenance.
