IT Technicial II
SmithGroup, a nationally recognized architectural/engineering/ design firm has an opening for a qualified candidate with advanced knowledge of A/E and general office desktop hardware and software applications.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
q Providing direction and high level support in multiple integrated technical areas/functions (i.e. MS Active Driectory, LAN support, systems security management, disaster recovery, etc.)
q Installs and maintains network hardware and software.
q Troubleshoots, analyzes and solves network, software and equipment problems.
q Coordinates with other Workstation Admins to ensure consistent standards across company
q Works with other Workstation Admins to recommend company-wide standards and research new technology
q Modifies computer and network systems as necessary.
q Tests and debugs programs.
q Provides individual and group instruction, as needed, on the use of equipment and software, and on network features.
q Assists with installation of PC equipment and software.
q Assists customers ? responds effectively to customer concerns and issues.
q Documents customer requests, problems and solutions and shares solutions with the rest of the IT team.
q Sets up new user accounts and modifications.
q Updates inventory list of equipment.
q Provides for safekeeping of equipment and supplies.
q Assists in backup procedure of network daily.
q Assists in moving equipment to different locations within office.
q Assists other IT team members as needed.
q Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, other offices, etc. in a courteous, effective and professional manner.
q Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
q Must be detail oriented and able to work in a team environment.
q Must be able to set priorities, multitask and work independently.
q Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be able to work flexible hours as required and be physically able to lift/move hardware of up to 50 pounds.
