IT Transition Manager

IT Transition Manager We need an experienced IT Transition Manager to be successful managing large scale data center transfers. Candidate will be responsible for managing the transition of customers administrative applications from customer site (or other 3rd Party data center) to CGI Federal's data center. This position requires extensive technical and consulting knowledge around specifying, acquiring, installing, configuring, testing, and monitoring telecommunications, hardware (RISC and Wintel), operating systems (Wintel, AIX, Solaris), storage systems, and monitoring software. Management scope includes proven expertise in application transition/standup process within a large data centers in North America. At least 5 years experience transitioning data centers at a high management level. Technical scope includes specifying, acquiring, installing, configuring, testing, and monitoring telecommunications, hardware (RISC and Wintel), operating systems (Wintel, AIX, Solaris), storage systems, monitoring software. Management scope includes proven expertise in application transition/standup process. Exposure to different applications and platforms including Mainframe, MidRange, and Windows boxes. Experience with application, network and hardware monitoring tools. Excellent communication and client facing skills. IBM AIX experience a plus. Ability to travel occasionally required. Bachelor's degree required.
