Strategic Business Systems is seeking EMC, Symantec Veritas Delivery Engineers and SUN Microsystems Storage Administrators, Implementation/Integration Engineers and Project Managers for various locations throughout the United States. SBS has multiple projects located at specific SBS customer sites that may require business travel.

A minimum of at least 3 years of design and implementation experience in data storage is required along with strong open systems integration, communication and interpersonal skills.

These positions will give the candidate the opportunity to do the following:

 

? Utilize strong customer interface and technical skills to help obtain customer specific requirements, server and operating system specific information to produce project implementation plans.

? Utilize hands-on integration of various hardware and software products mentioned below.

? Produce documentation and provide knowledge transfers to clients.

EMC

 

A minimum of 3 years experience with one or two of the following computing platforms is required:

? Enterprise Data Storage

? EMC Symmetrix DMX, Connectrix, Celerra (NS600, NS600G, NS700) or CLARiiON

? SRDF, TimeFinder, PowerPath, ECC (Enterprise Control Center 5.x), Volume Logix, ERM

? SnapView, MirrorView, Navisphere Mgr, VMWare

Experience with other technologies that could compliment this position include:

? Backup & Recovery, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Data Center Migrations & Data Storage Consolidation projects

? Legato products, Veritas, TSM

? Storage Area Networking experience (McData, Brocade, Cisco Fiber Channel switches, hubs, etc.)

? Help with relocation will be provided (if applicable) and salaries will be based upon experience.

Symantec Veritas Delivery Engineer

The Symantec Veritas Delivery Engineer will work under the direction of the SBS Enterprise Delivery Team and Symantec Professional Services Group to accomplish set objectives throughout the engagement. These objectives can be defined as general day to day Veritas implementation and administration tasks or as a grouping of tasks which are project focused.

The Symantec Veritas Delivery Engineer's primary responsibilities will be focused on the Veritas Storage Foundation Products (VCS, VVR, GCM, Storage Exec), Veritas Vault HSM Product, and Veritas NetBackup, and duties include following:Provide implementation and administration services of the Veritas Storage Products to include: Veritas NetBackup, Veritas Vault, Veritas Storage Foundation Suite Address any questions, resolve issues, and/or provide architectural insight into the implementation and administration of Veritas products Implement Veritas best practices and methodologies Assist with connection of new servers to a Veritas environment either within a NetBackup domain, Enterprise Vault implementation, or by brining new storage into the Storage Foundation Suite  Assist with data migrations and data expansion using Veritas replication and mirroring technologies Update summary documentation for the Symantec storage configurations Assist the customer with test criteria, operational procedures, and documentation development as required Provide Symantec knowledge transfer and informal training on an as needed basis Provide weekly status report Specific Government Security Clearance classifications a plus.

 

SUN

 

A minimum of 3 years experience with one or two of the following computing platforms is required:

? Strong Enterprise server and Domaining skills with Sun E10K, SunFire 12K, 15K, 20K, 25K.

? Sun & HP, or Hitachi Storage (95xx, 99xx storage, Tagmastore with TrueCopy and/or ShadowImage)

? Sun StorEdge SAM-FS Policy Based Archiving or QFS shared file system software

? Enterprise Unix System Administration, Solaris administration & Implementation

? Backup solutions such as:  Veritas (NetBackup, Veritas Volume Manager, File System) and/or Legato Networker, VMWare, Storability, Diligent, CommVault

? Cluster implementation experience with Veritas, Microsoft or Sun cluster 3.x

 

Experience with other technologies that could compliment this position include:

? Fiber Channel switches and hubs including: Cisco, McData, Brocade, etc.

? Storage arrays such as: 3510, 6130, FlexLine 380, 6920

? Specific Government Security Clearance classifications helpful but NOT necessary
