Implementation Management Analyst

Job Description: Provides technical and project leadership, complex systems analysis and development, and on-going support for varied technologies (specifically TeamSite and OpenDeploy), architectures and projects within HSBC.com. The successful candidate will join the Build Engineering and Deployment Team, supporting major multi-year global Flagship projects, initially focusing on the Personal Financial Services (PFS) business. Strong project discipline, business analysis and technical design skills are a must for the candidate to provide the technical support necessary to successfully deliver this Flagship project.



Primary Responsibilities:

- Assist in the development, design and implementation of business systems.

- Work as part of a virtual team coordinating with colleagues overseas in multiple locations.

- Serve as member of a project team or as an individual contributor when assigned.

- Provide computer program and system development and technical support critical programs systems.

- Plan and coordinate tests, resolves production problems, identify opportunities to improve systems and architecture.

- Develop methods for technology application within assigned discipline.

- Perform business systems development tasks, including: working with users to define systems needs; designing business systems to meet user needs; translating logic diagrams into program statements; installing and implementing vendor packages; and conducting research in emerging technologies.

- Design, code, test, debug and document programs.

- Assist in design of complex, global or strategic development projects. Identify and address interfacing functions and applications affected by projects.

- Provide technical analysis and solutions to issues; sets technical direction.

- Remain current on technical and professional developments and business strategies affecting area of responsibility.

- Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events.

Job Experience:
- 3 years working experience with TeamSite (Solaris version 5.5 a must, Version 6.X preferred).
- Exceptional knowledge of Teamsite development as it relates to workflow is a must.
- Exceptional knowledge of JavaScript, Perl & CGIs, is a must.
- 2-3 years work experience with OpenDeploy (Solaris version 5.X a must, Version 6.X preferred).
- Working experience with Shell scripting, Java Servlets, JSP preferred.
- Knowledge of MKS, IBM WebSphere and WebSphere Portal Server preferred.
- The candidate must be an exceptional problem solver and integrator. He/she must be able to adopt new technologies very quickly.
- The candidate must be an excellent communicator and highly motivated.
