Implementation Project Manager

Summary:
Provides leadership. Primarily assigned to multiple medium to large projects, typically at least 1040 plus hours of effort, potentially affecting 250 or more buildings. Utilizes best practices and standard methodologies in pursuit of delivering quality and cost effective IS System Implementations, while providing guidance to less senior project managers.
Essential Functions:
. Assists in developing and providing Implementation project standards, project presentations, development of project plans, communication efforts, etc.
. Manages multiple, medium to large simultaneous projects for the Implementation department using Kindred Implementation best practices as they relate to the PMI standard methodology.
. Develops project plans based upon department methodologies and division requirements to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, with a focus on customer expectations.
. Ensures overall project coordination with status reporting, timely escalations and monitors cross functional project team members, such as Developers and Development Analysts, Training Specialists, Data Network Services, Telecom, NT Support, Security, contractual vendors and other project resources.
. Tracks and communicates essential project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
. Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
. Proficient knowledge of the project life cycle and key components of project work.
. Competent in the use of industry standard Project Management Methodologies and tools.
. Flexibility and willingness to travel as required for assigned projects (approx 30%).
. Knowledge of the healthcare industry a plus

Job Experience:
Qualifications:
Education
. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Licenses/Certification
. Project Management Professional Certification preferred
. Clinical or Financial certification and/or degree a plus

Experience
. A minimum of 3 years project management experience required, preferably in Information Systems setting.
. At least 1 year Implementation experience preferred.
