Information Assurance Analyst

Location: Crystal City Role:Information Assurance Analyst

 

Candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining and executing security test and evaluation procedures.

 

Core Responsibilities:

? Assess and review technical and engineering related documentation including system and network architecture diagrams, system specifications, interface documentation, policy, test plans and procedures, System Security Accreditation Agreements (SSAA),and System Test and Evaluation (ST&E) plans

? Execute ST&E of BMDS Elements and produce reports detailing findings and outcome of the ST&E.

? Consult system developers on DITSCAP and DISA requirements to ensure that information assurance controls are built into the systems.

? Interface with government and contracting officials from BMDS elements to coordinate system-level testing.

? Ability to brief and present technical issues to senior leadership.

 

Critical Skills:

? Thorough knowledge of network and vulnerability assessment tools such as; Nessus, Retina Network Security Scanner, NMAP, Solarwinds, DISA Security Readiness Review Scripts.

? Understanding of NSA Router Security Configuration Guides and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides.

? Experience with the DoD Instruction 8500.2, "Information Assurance (IA) Implementation", DoD 8510.1-M, "Department of Defense Information Technolgoy Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP) Application Manual? and the DoD Instruction 5200.4 ?DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process? (DITSCAP)

? Secure configuration of Windows and Unix based operating systems.

? Experience configuring and interfacing with network devices, e.g. switches, routers, ATM switches, Taclanes, DNS servers, DMZ environment, network traffic, Satcom, etc. devices within a network enclave.

 

Desired Skills:

? Ability to develop and maintain security requirements compliance database

? Experience writing technical security whitepapers and test event schedules

? Use and administration of Solaris based Sun Fire servers

 

Clearance:

  Secret required, TS preferred
