Information Assurance Analyst, Mid

Key Role: Work with a team that supports federal departments and agencies by providing key government leaders with the information and tools required to plan, execute, and assess information security programs.  Provide independent research and support data gathering efforts as part of larger research teams. Lead project sub-tasks, use problem-solving abilities to interpret and analyze data, and assist in the writing of reports and the preparation of client deliverables based on the team’s analysis and research. Support clients’ compliance with laws and regulations and general computer security-related activities, including risk assessments, analysis to facilitate strategy and policy development and maintenance, security program performance measurement, and the certification and accreditation of programs or systems.



Basic Qualifications:


-3+ years of experience with professional work


-Experience with writing memos, briefings, procedures, and reports for senior federal managers


-Experience with developing or interpreting public policy


-Experience with gathering data, analyzing findings, and documenting results


-BS or BA degree


 


Additional Qualifications:


-Experience with federal government agencies, the military, or consulting


-Knowledge of FISMA and the NIST SPs 800 series a plus


-Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17799, 21827 and 27001 a plus


-Ability to conduct or deliver presentations


-Ability to work in a client environment or engagement 


-Ability to show interest in information assurance, strategic planning, or policy and procedures


-CISSP or SANS GIAC Certification a plus


-BS or BA degree in Public Policy, International Studies, Government, Business, Journalism, Communications, Management Information Systems, or Political Science a plus
