Information Assurance Engineer, Junior

Key Role: Perform technical security planning, integration, verification, and risk analysis for DoD systems. Conduct network security and vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security test and evaluation, and security validation procedures. Interpret security requirements into technical solutions and analyze system configurations to determine the security posture. Recommend secure risk-mitigation solutions and provide security engineering solutions to developers and integrators. Draft security test procedures and perform risk assessments and documentation review as part of the ongoing security certification process. Provide information assurance support throughout the system development cycle.



Basic Qualifications: (Required)
-1+ years of experience as an information assurance engineer, systems or network administrator, or similar technical role


-Experience with UNIX and Microsoft Windows


-Ability to quickly obtain a Secret clearance


-Experience within the military or with a government contractor or program


-BA or BS degree 


 


Additional Qualifications:


-Experience as a systems and network administrator with DoD or a defense contractor preferred


-Experience with DII-COE, GCCS-M, TBMCS, IT-21, COMPOSE, DMS, or NMCI preferred 


-Experience with Internet security probing and scanning tools, including ISS Internet Scanner, eEye Retina, and Nessus preferred


-Knowledge of DCID 6/3, DoDIIS/NIST guidelines, the DITSCAP process, SSAA’s, and C&A activities preferred


-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills


-BA or BS degree or equivalent experience
