Information Security Administrator

Our rapidly expanding international financial services organization is seeking a qualified Information Security professional to support the Information Security Team in conjunction with our busy IT Department. Individual will report directly to the Information Security Manager and will assist the Information Security Engineers with implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of technologies that preserve, monitor and ensure the security and integrity of member, corporate and staff information and systems. These technologies include, but are not limited to firewalls, VPN?s, URL filtering, e-mail filtering, remote access, anti-virus and other monitoring and security specific hardware, applications and/or solutions. Individual will also assist in troubleshooting end user issues and fulfilling requests as defined by the Information Security Department and will assist in creation, modification and deletions of user profiles and other access controls.

 

Qualified candidates must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within information security field. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Must have the ability to prioritize work with minimal assistance of manager, have strong organizational and communication skills. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (preferred but not mandatory), security specific certification(s) or 1 year equivalent experience with implementation of computer systems required. Experience with establishing VPN?s: client to site, site to site and clientless, URL filtering and e-mail filtering a plus. Proven record of accomplishment of major system implementations. Good communication and interpersonal skills essential. Position may require some work on weekends. Critical system outages and system upgrades may require 24 by 7 coverage on short notice.
