Position and Responsibilities: Create and facilitate security awareness training programs for end users, customers and contractors. Act as the business unit's advocate in developing new security policies, procedures and technical controls. Create and participate in all manner of security awareness training including: face to face seminars, end user handbooks, end user web portal, and others. Organize security correspondents within the Nissan business units who will act as advocates for the Nissan security program within the business. Participate in developing new Nissan security policies to meet business needs. Collect security requirements from business, regulatory, IT operations, etc.; draft new policies; promote new policies through awareness training updates. Receive and translate strategic business initiatives into information security initiatives and supporting programs. Define programs that will support those business initiatives and programs, and provides high level definition and effort requirements for them. Participate in global security initiatives. Oversees projects, ensuring they stay on track with defined initiatives. Participates in information systems planning meeting, providing security insight into business, development, and information systems initiatives. Collaborates with information systems relationship management, infrastructure, and technical standards organizations, ensuring that the design of information solutions satisfies the user requirements, business rules, and Nissan security policies. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative. Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written skills. Good at listening to and influencing people; strong customer focus. Ability to translate technical concepts into terms that can be understood by all; ability to creatively resolve complex issues. Strong analytical, project management, negotiation, client management, vendor and contract management, and oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain a supportive relationship with clients and vendors. Overall understanding and general knowledge of information security best practices and technologies. Broad understanding of database architectures, data structures, access controls, logging systems and communications. Six to ten years of related experience at a professional level including information systems application development functions and information systems consulting, requiring significant interaction with clients. Minimum two years experience in IT security role. A minimum of two years in a work leader role coordinating the work of other employees or contractors. This includes training new employees, assigning work, and checking the timeliness and quality of work. May have provided input into performance reviews. A related degree from a four-year college. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training. Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.
