Information Security Engineer II

 

Provide expert analysis of security requirements and develop, design and implement security strategies. Review security features of new and existing applications, overall security models and vendor security assessments.  Provide security documentation and oversight to support the implementation and on-going operations of these security requirements.

 

This position will work with multiple business areas, vendors and other system professionals to incorporate security controls and assurances into business practices.  Apply subject matter expertise and judgment evaluations to risk assessments and risk mitigations practices. Prepare and publish papers and presentations on corporate security practices for use by other staff.  Provide training on security policies and practices to staff members as needed. 

 

The candidate should have a large breath of security knowledge and be proficient in common security tools such as firewalls, intrusion prevention, vulnerability scanning, proxies, compliance reporting, e-mail filtering and other generally used security technologies. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong knowledge of security certification processes and keep abreast of advancements in technology as well as the current trends in security that would benefit secure business growth.

 

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.  Four to six years of work in a direct Security role is required.  A CISSP is preferred.
