Information Security - Senior Forensic Investigator

CITY: Danbury STATE: Connecticut COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
As Senior Forensic Analyst, you are an experienced software implementor and forensic investigator. Your primary role is to lead forensic examinations, and work with business functions (Human Resources, Legal, etc) to analyze, summerize, and communicate the results of the investigations to the appropriate business leaders.

*Conduct computer forensic investigations for ComFin businesses following industry-standard processes and procedures, within GE policies and guidelines.
*Champion and implement initiatives as required to meet GIST (Global Information Security Team) goals and objectives related to forensics services.
*Provide education, guidance, and advice to ComFin businesses around forensic investigations, and GE security policies and procedures.
*Conduct full examinations and analysis on various types of hardware and related digital evidence.
*Ensure the integrity of original electronic magnetically stored evidence so it is admissible in a court of law through maintaining a tight process an a complete chain of custody.
*Work with business functions (Physical Security, Legal, HR, Risk, etc..), and outside law enforcement as necessary to ensure timely completion of investigations and analysis.
*Grow Expertise through the use of various forensics tools such as: Guidance Software Forensic, Enterprise and eDiscovery Suite and possess the ability to discuss its capabilities with customers/clients.
*Function as an expert for the investigation of hardware that may contain evidence.
*Train junior forensic analyst's in investigation tools, processes, and procedures.
*Implement and support investigation software as required to assist with investigations.

Qualifications/Requirements:
*Minimum of 5 years experience in Information Security.
*BS in Computer Science, other discipline or equivalent work experience.
*Proven experience leading small and large-scale forensic investigations.
*Excellent project execution skills, particularly scope management, risk management and issue resolution.
*Strong written and verbal communications skills.
*Gull understanding of networks, including TCP / IP, and network security concepts.
*Expertise in Operating system knowledge in the areas of Windows and UNIX / Linux.
