making sense out of lifeJob Summary: The Help Desk Support Specialist provides primary day-to-day application and technical support to employees for Enterprise One ERP, eCommerce and CRM applications.  Job duties include but are not limited to:Installs, configures, and troubleshoots Business ApplicationsMaintains passwords and security for the application environmentsCommunicates highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnelRecommends application software solutionsAssists with various administrative and record-keeping activities such as software license managementParticipates in development of Business Applications projectsConducts training designed to educate an organization?s computer users about Business ApplicationsGenerate reports and complete special projects as assignedProvide performance reports as necessaryAcquire and maintain a clear understanding of the technologies utilized in Illumina?s products, parts, and servicesPerform other related tasks as required



Education and Experience:Bachelor?s degree in IT or related field and 1 year of relevant IT experience OR alternatively 3 years of relevant IT experienceExperience in a fast-paced, corporate, ERP based environment. JdEdwards- OneWorld experience preferredExperience in supporting software applications in a held desk environmentExperience in Biotech or other high tech industry a plusMust have strong communications/interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentialityEffective verbal and written communication, analytical and interpersonal skillsStrong Organizational skills, detail orientedAbility to interface well with cross-functional teammates.
