Information Systems Engineering Tools Analyst

 

Participates in the identification, analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing and implementation of enterprise-wide Engineering systems (e.g., Pro/Engineer, Pro/Intralink ProjectLink, PDMLink, Agile e6, SAP, Lotus Notes, Websphere) across functional areas in order to meet business requirements. Plans and directs studies of potential processing applications and prepares design proposals to reflect ROI, cost, time and alternative actions to satisfy existing and future needs of the corporation. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Leverage existing technologies and/or assess new technologies where current technologies don?t provide adequate solution to business request. Develops test plans and protocols for evaluation of system functionality. Coordinates system upgrade activity. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Trains super users in the conversion and implementation of the system functionality. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

 

EDUCATION: BSCS or BSME required.

 

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of closely related experience

JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives.

 

TECHNICAL ABILITY: Strong skills, understands processes. Has thorough knowledge of technical field. Works independently. Continues to develop skills. Ability to troubleshoot most problems. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities. Must have expert level knowledge implementing and managing the following applications:

PTC ProEngineer/Wildfire application suite

PTC ProIntralink/Windchill application suite

PTC Projectlink suite

Oracle

 

Additional skills desired:

Pro/TOOLKIT and Pro/INTRALINK-TOOLKIT experience

ProductView Graphics Server Setup and Configuration

TCP/IP Networking understanding

DV/Mockup or Vis/Mockup experience

Use of 3-D models in N/C Manufacturing

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Able to communicate complex issues and concepts.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: May project manage self and occasionally others. Takes project plans and determines work steps.
