Information Systems Security Officer

TKC Communications has an opening for an Information Systems Security Officerfor a government agency, located in Arlington, Virginia.

The candidate will serve as the organizations' expert on the security of IT systems, software, networks and infrastructure; as well as serves as a technical authority on internal controls and other security matters for which the organization is responsible. Conducts and reviews security assessments, risk analyses, and contingency plans for the organization to verify the existence and effectiveness of information systems safeguards. Determine integration requirements. Monitors the classification, transmission, storage, and destruction of national security and other organizational information. Interprets policies relating to security functions, and develops guidance as required. Develops security plans, particularly those involving information systems.

Required Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in the IT security field
- Knowledge of security safeguarding policies and procedures
- Experience in establishing IT/Security policy and procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills



Salary will be negotiated based on background and experience.

Remarks:
Must have a current Top Secret Clearance, be eligible for SCI and be willing to take a polygraph examination.
