The Application Analyst has the responsibility of developing and maintaining Hallmark?s computer-based applications at a level that ensures the successful operation of Hallmark?s business.  The incumbent will, from time to time, work with analysts from other departments within the IT Organization and business community in the performance of their duties.

Hallmark is a federal contractor, and per government requirements, the following basic qualifications apply:  Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.  Minimum of five years of programming experience.  Working knowledge of JAVA.

 

This position also requires:Expertise with computer systems and the ability to solve/research any problems with the system in an efficient and expedient timeframe. Assume responsibility for multiple business-related applications and acquire a good conceptual knowledge about business functions and application processes.  Serve as primary lead with business interactions to ensure business needs are met. Ability to multi-task effectively. (multiple projects,  multiple service issues). Provide a strong Mentoring role for less senior analysts and the willingness to  take a lead role in some assignments.Posses Computer programming aptitude/skills, Analysis and Researching skills, Good Communication skills, Good Technical skills, Customer Service focus Have a working knowledge of one or more programming skills  and have a working knowledge of Web programming including a working knowledge of  HTML, Javascript, EJB, JSP, SQL, PL/SQL programming, .NET, Java 2 certified. Have a working knowledge of Desktop proficiencies (Word, Excel, etc.)
