Primary Purpose Responsible for computer hardware and software application support and training

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Supports Information System efforts for offices and head-ends.

Provides computer hardware and application support/training for all departments including MS-Office, E-mail, Operational Software, Dialup Software, database, reports, work orders and inventory.

Sets up security and remote office access.

Uses and supports specialized software for cable television advertising traffic and billing.

Monitors system performance and completes routine daily procedures to keep the system updated and backed up.

Maintains and ensures proper running conditions of network transports and operation systems.

Recommends future computer upgrades as appropriate.

Maintains proper software licensing levels.

Responsible for capacity and disaster recovery planning.

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance is required. Must be available for overtime or extended hours, as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Experience:

Five years experience in a systems maintenance and support capacity..
Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related discipline

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

Excellent communication skills.

Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
