Information Technology Application Development and Support Specialist

Position Summary:

 

This information technology position will participate in the analysis, configuration, and support of the Company?s industrial distribution ERP system; will assist with application system implementations, enhancements, and upgrades; and will develop proprietary programs, analytical extracts, and reports.

 

Responsibilities:

 Participate in the analysis and configuration of application systems and database design to improve workflow processes and ensure end user functionality.Participate in various information technology projects and teams.Participate in consulting with internal and external customers, suppliers and third party companies to establish business practices, processes, and workflows that improve business effectiveness and efficiencies.Assist with ERP system upgrades. Assist with developing and maintaining the corporate data warehouse.Assist with training of end users on application systems. Document system processes and business workflows.




Skills/Qualifications:

 

Ability to comprehend business processes and workflows

 

Possess a fundamental knowledge of relational database structures

 

Possess effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting system functionalities and training end-users

 

Be able to work in both individual and team environments

 

Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology or Management Information Systems

 

0 - 3 years of progressively responsible management information systems, information technology, or computer science experience

 

Willingness to do minimal travel

 

Visual Basic, C++, and SQL programming competency are a plus
