Position Description:

Chevron Information Technology Company is accepting online applications for Information Technology Professionals (50058520) located in San Ramon, CA through August 31, 2006.

Qualifications:

Provide SAP R/3 support for the Downstream business which includes the following customers: Global Marketing, Global Lubricants, Global Supply and Trading, Global Refining, and Finance. There are several positions available covering two functional business areas:

- Sales area business analyst - encompasses SAP functionality centered on the SD module and IS-Oil: order management, pricing, price notification, tax, rents, invoicing, and customer master

- Supply area business analyst- encompasses SAP functionality centered on the MM module and IS-Oil: purchasing, inventory, materials management, TSW, allocation, exchange, and contract master data

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for providing ongoing SAP R/3 application support and consulting for SAP Downstream customers. Services provided include:
- Consulting on business processes and applications
- Working with customers to design, develop, and implement new or existing SAP functionality to meet their business requirements
- Maintaining common designs, performing overall assessment of design changes and their impact across environments, modules, and functions
- Identifying options for the most suitable solution to achieve business objectives.
- Following a formal project management methodology (from idea generation through lessons learned) in implementing development projects.
- Participating as a team member in development projects.
- Acting as a liaison with external vendors and internal customers in support of interfaces.
- Acting as primary interface with on-shore and off-shore analysts to evaluate and implement technical development solutions.
- Developing/Testing/Coordinating disaster recovery and business resumption plans.
- Responding to system related customer inquiries, including analysis and resolution of system related issues.
- Maintaining system configuration.
- Performing system testing

Note: Position works closely with an external company where most of the following services have been outsourced: system configuration and responding to customer inquiries, including analysis and resolution of system related issues. Prior experience in a global organization working with a third-party developer is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS OR ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS/INFORMATION:
- Bachelor?s degree required in Business administration, MIS, computer science
