Information Technology Security Officer

Dynamic Government contracting firm in Bethesda, MD is seeking an experienced Personnel Specialist with a minimum of 5 years experience in Information Technology Security. The position requires a Masters Degree.? Prior experience working in a federal government contracting environment is desirable, DoD experience is preferred.? Candidates must have knowledge of and ability to apply information security technologies, design methodologies, policies and processes to the design, implementation and support of Project network programs. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent analytical skills, be able to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, produce error-free work, possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, and be able to work well with a diverse staff. Successful candidate must be dependable and flexible. Salary range $50--$55K depending on experience.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Assess emerging information assurance concepts and technologies and identify those with potential to integrate into

?

Develop security procedures that mitigate risks to Department of Defense systems

?

Review task order proposals information technology section to ensure compliance with security measures

?

Define, document and review project network requirements and objectives

?

Coordinate information security action plans

?

Develop and maintain Operational Security (OPSEC) plan
